WEE SUZI

Morning everyone

Firstly I would like to welcome my new followers, and say a huge thank you to you all for the lovely comments I am receiving.  These mean so much to me, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Today I have a card to share using this gorgeous Wee stamp created by the very talented Sylvia Zet.  I just love these images.  They are available from Whimsy, in Digi and also as Hobby House Toppers now.  How lucky are we!  We can get our digis HERE, or the rubber stamps we can get at Quoixotic Paperie.  I have just learned something too, there are more than I thought there were because there is a SCACD section there too!  I need to take a better look later!!!!!  And the Hobby House Toppers can be found here and also  here.  These are the UK Stockists I have found so far.

So, onto the card.  I spotted a Challenge at Whimsy where the theme is 'Anything But Square', and this is what inspired me.  I had this lovely set of 'blossom' card blanks by Hunky Dory given for my birthday (thanks Kelly) and I was itching to use them!  So here it is:

Die-cuts:  Memory Box, cheery Lyn and Magnolia Tag
Wee Suzi stamp, coloured with Copics and Promarkers
NO PAPERS!!!! (that is a first for me!)
Doiley pearls and cheesecloth from EBay
Flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts

I am hoping to put this card on EBay on Sunday along with some others. (There is a link on my sidebar to my EBay items).

Here's to a lovely weekend for everyone and thanks for looking,

ONE STITCH AT A TIME CHALLENGE #119 - SUMMER DRESSES

Hi folk

Here we are again with a DT post for One Stitch at a Time.  The theme is a lovely one, entitled 'Summer Dresses', so think prints, flowers, fabric etc.  A real girlie one which was just upmy street!

Sponsor:  Joanner Sheen with a wonderful prize of a £10 UK Gift Voucher

I was lucky enough to work with this gorgeous image from Beary Dust Stamps called 'Berry'.  This is a brilliant Digi stamp, and the beauty of it is there is no hear to colour!  Ins't she gorgeous!  Perfect for a Summery theme.  She is available from  Stitchy Bear Digital Stamps .

First I made the background to it all.  I loved doing this!  I had a brilliant Martha Stewart All over the Page heart punch bought for my birthday last year (Thanks Maureen! HUG) so I put this to good use.  I punched hearts randomly over the backing paper and then placed co-ordinating prints in backing paper underneath.  First I tried material but the prints I had did not work as well.  I have taken a photo of it before it was finalised.

Martha Stewart All over the page Heart punch
Beary Dust Digi called 'Berry' (coloured with Copics and Promarkers)
Papermania papers
Flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts
Machine Stitched
Ribbon and pearls from EBay
Stickles purchased locally.

And the base layer before finalising

Do pop over and take part in this lovely Challenge, full details can be found at One Stitch at a Time and there is lots of lovely DT inspiration too with a good variety of different styles of work.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Hi folk

Here we are again with a DT post for One Stitch at a Time.   The theme is ' For the man in your life' ( Fathers Day, male birthday etc)
Sponsor : Creative Craft World with 3x Promarkers

I was lucky enough to work with this gorgeous image from Stitchy which is available from  Stitchy Bear Digital Stamps
Perfect for the Gardener!  I have coloured it with Copics and Promarkers.  It is called 'Stack Em'
There is not a lot to this card but it took me simply ages to get it right. The papers are Tim Holtz.  The fabulous flowers was from a  gift from my Teamie Choccy.  (Thanks Choccy! )  The brads were from my stash.  I really wanted some jute twine but did not have any so I improvised with a piece of raffia I had given to make the bow etc.

Does everyone struggle with male cards like I do?

LILI'S LITTLE FAIRIES GDT CHALLENGE - ONE FOR THE BOYS

Hi everyone

My heart dropped when I saw the theme for the Challenge at Lili's Little Fairies but then reality kicked in and it suddenly came to me that it is using the lovely LOTV images, so really it should never be a problem because there are so many to choose from that are suitable for male cards.  What a lovely selelction there are!  And of course I had just the stamp I needed!  I only purchased it recently too, I must have known I was going to need it for this GDT spot!

I was inspired by a lovely pocket card which Bev had made.  I have to smile, because Bev was inspired too and there is a link to where she spotted the idea.  It is like a chain!  There is not a lot to tell about this card really, everything was either from stash or purchased locally and it is machine sewn too.

Photo showing the pocket:

Do pop over and take a look at the Design Team's lovely work!  There is lots of inspiration to be had!

Thanks for looking and good luck with the challenge if you decide to enter.
